As we look forward to celebrating our 10th year in business, and our continued success in the community solar industry, we also announced publicly this week a strategic investment in CEC by North American Infrastructure Partners’ (NAIP).
NAIP is a private equity group specializing in high-quality, infrastructure assets. NAIP’s strategic investment results in a 51% ownership in CEC, making CEC their first investment and acquisition within community solar. You can read more about the strategic partnership in the full press release.
Here at CEC, we are very committed to our team members as co-owners of the company, as well as our numerous partners in development, construction, and more. That’s what makes this change so significant – it brings us greater access to available capital and financing, allowing us to accelerate our growth in developing community solar projects across the United States.
We couldn’t have made this transition into our next decade without the support and hard work of our team, and for that I thank them. As we look toward the future, we are excited to more than double our development over the next two years and utilize NAIP’s expertise in capital development and asset ownership, as well as their strategic support, to continue being the community pioneering organization that CEC is known for.
